Prayagraj. Have the culprits who committed the despicable act of brutally murdering Umesh Pal been exposed? This question is causing commotion throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh, as the authorities have been unable to make any tangible headway in the case even after a day has passed since the double murder occurred in Prayagraj.

The late Umesh Pal, a vital witness in the Raju Pal murder case, was mercilessly butchered, leaving the people of Prayagraj in a state of shock and trepidation. The brazen assault was captured on the watchful eyes of CCTV cameras and soon after, the images of the perpetrators were disseminated far and wide on social media, causing an uproar.

The police were quick to respond, but 18 hours after the attack, they were still empty-handed. Umesh Pal was killed, along with his gunner, Sandeep Nishad, while another gunner, Raghavendra Singh, is still fighting for his life in the hospital.

The pictures of the attackers showed that some of them had been identified. Armaan of Civil Lines and Guddu Muslim of Rajrooppur were two of the attackers who had been named. Guddu Muslim had even been named in the FIR. The third attacker was identified as Mohammad Asad, the son of Atiq Ahmed.

The police had detained seven people, including Atiq Ahmed's two sons, Ehjam and Aaban. They were also interrogating many other people in custody, including Atiq Ahmed's wife, Shaista Parveen. The police were keeping an eye on many shooters of Atiq Ahmed's gang and conducting raids in search of shooters in Prayagraj and surrounding districts.

The family members of Umesh Pal had filed an FIR against Atiq Ahmed's family, including Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf Ahmed, and wife Shaista Parveen. An FIR had also been lodged against Atiq Ahmed's four sons, Umar, Ali Ahmed, Ehjam, and Aaban, as well as Guddu Muslim and nine other accomplices whose addresses were unknown.

The FIR was lodged under serious sections like 147, 148, 149, 392, 307, 120-B, and 7-CLA, along with the Explosives Act.

The police were still trying to gather more evidence and catch the remaining attackers. The people of Prayagraj were left shaken by the incident, and the question remained: who were the killers of Umesh Pal?
