The certification is given to railway stations that adhere to standards for food storage and hygiene and meet FSSAI benchmarks for offering safe and wholesome food.

Varanasi Cantt Railway Station was evaluated by an FSSAI-appointed third-party audit agency and received a 5-Star rating, the highest rating possible, indicating full compliance with FSSAI standards for ensuring that all food available to passengers is safe and hygienic.
