Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two shooters from the Salim-Shorab-Rustom gang in connection with the daylight shooting of Sushma Badaik in Ranchi on December 13. The shooters, Farhan Khan and Mohd. Muddasir, were arrested on January 5 near the Laxman Vihar Gate in Lucknow. An FIR was filed under sections 324/326/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act in relation to the shooting, which occurred despite Sushma Badaik being under police protection.

Farhan, an active member of the Salim-Shohrab-Rustom gang, was arrested in connection with the shooting of Sushma Badaik in Ranchi on December 13. Farhan admitted that he had agreed to carry out the shooting at the request of his brother-in-law, Danish Rizwan, who had offered him money and arranged the weapons for the crime. Farhan revealed that the attack was planned by him and two accomplices, Muddasir and Guddu alias Umar, in response to sexual harassment allegations made by Sushma against high-profile individuals including his brother-in-law Danish.

Sushma Badaik, who gained fame for her involvement in the IG Natarajan sex scandal, was shot and injured by Farhan and his accomplices on December 13 in Ranchi. The attack occurred while Sushma was returning from her father's house on a bike with her bodyguard. The assailants fled the scene after the shooting, which caused a stampede in the area.
