Mike Pandey to be the Gorakhpur's Brand Ambassador for cleanliness

Gorakhpur: Mike Hargovind Pandey, a well-known environmentalist, has agreed to serve as the Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation's brand ambassador for cleanliness.

On this occasion, Pandey lauded the initiatives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation and said it was an honour for him to serve as the Gorakhpur's brand ambassador for cleanliness.

In addition to being a renowned wildlife filmmaker, Mike Pandey works in the field of environmental and biodiversity conservation. Pandey, a native of Gorakhpur, also serves as the state government's brand ambassador for ecotourism and is a patron of the Heritage foundation, a local organisation that works to protect the environment.

Over 300 national and international honours have been awarded to him. He is the first Asian to have won the Green Oscar three times.

According to sources, he agreed to serve as the cleanliness brand ambassador for Gorakhpur after being requeated by municipal commissioner Avinash Singh.

Mike pandey said after Yogi Adityanath became chief minister of the state, a huge positive change could be seen in the area of development and cleanliness and environment conservation.

The commissioner further said that Pandey's experiences and suggestions will prove to be important in making GMC number one.
