A team of medical experts from Israel has arrived in Varanasi to participate in the second Indo-Israeli trauma course and workshop on the Mass Casualty Scenario. The workshop, organized by the BHU Institute of Medical Sciences and Trauma Center, aims to train personnel on handling trauma-related situations and provide timely treatment facilities. The event will bring together experts from Israel and India to facilitate an exchange of ideas that will benefit the field of trauma management.

VARANASI. A group comprising of medical specialists from Israel has reached Varanasi to partake in the second edition of the Indo-Israeli trauma course and the Mass Casualty Scenario workshop. This workshop, jointly organized by the BHU Institute of Medical Sciences and Trauma Center, is being conducted after a gap of five years.

The three-day event, scheduled from February 24th to 26th, will focus on various aspects related to trauma, such as efficiently transporting the injured to hospitals in case of minor or major accidents and providing timely treatment facilities. This workshop aims to train police, PAC, 39 GTC, NDRF, CRPF, and RPF personnel on handling trauma-related situations and help patients during such incidents.

Dr. Saurabh Singh, the Professor in charge of the Trauma Center and Organizing Chairman, said that the workshop would be organized from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Trauma Centre Auditorium. The experts will also focus on how to tackle the medical situation during and after an accident, the equipment required for diagnosis in the hospital, and the method of treatment in any emergency.

Apart from experts from Israel, eminent speakers from renowned medical institutions in the country will also share their views on subjects related to trauma. The distinguished list includes Dr. Amit Gupta, Senior Professor, Department of Trauma Surgery, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and other scholars from various leading institutes of the country.

Dr. Singh added that after five years, experts from renowned medical institutions in the country would come together to present their views on the subjects related to trauma. This workshop is significant as it will help the participants understand the nuances of trauma management and equip them to handle such situations effectively.

The second Indo-Israeli trauma course and workshop on the Mass Casualty Scenario will play a crucial role in developing the skills and knowledge of personnel involved in handling trauma situations.
