Local Congress Leaders Organize Protest Against Electricity Department's Irregularities

Varanasi. Local Congress leaders led by Pramod Verma, the City Secretary of the Mahanagar Congress Committee, organized a protest against the Electricity Department's irregularities near Godaulia Doodh Satti. The Congressmen gave a memorandum to the JE, demanding that the open box should be covered, a new transformer should be installed, the poles should be removed from the streets and the dilapidated wires should be fixed.

The protest was held raising loud slogans and a protest program was organized. Many prominent leaders, including Digvijay Singh, Atul Malviya, Shakeel Ahmed, magician Rajesh Tiwari, Bhola Yadav, Krishna Tiwari, Mamu Seth Narsingh Das, Savita Srivastava, and Akash Kumar Singh were present at the event.

The JE, who received the memorandum, assured the Congressmen that their demands would be met soon. The leaders expressed their satisfaction with the assurance given by the JE and urged the Electricity Department to take swift action to resolve the issues in the area.

The protest drew attention to the plight of the local residents who have been struggling with irregularities in the Electricity Department. The Congress leaders vowed to continue their efforts until the issues were resolved and the residents received a reliable and efficient electricity supply.
