CM Yogi to visit Varanasi on January 13 to inaugurate Balloon and Boat Festival

Varanasi. Holy City is all set to host a number of exciting events in the coming weeks, beginning with the inauguration of the Balloon and Boat Festival on January 13th. Chief Minister Yogi will be in attendance to inaugurate the festival, which will run until June in Kashi. He will also inaugurate the tent city built on the sand bank of the Ganges across the river.

On the same day, the Ganga Vilas Cruise will depart from Varanasi for Dibrugadh on a 3200 kilometer water journey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually participate in the event and flag off the cruise. The Chief Minister will also address a public meeting at Benaras Hindu University and visit the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

These events are expected to boost tourism in the area and improve the image of Varanasi on the global stage. The city will also host the SCO Summit on January 17, where representatives from member countries and coordinators from all states of India will discuss the expansion and opportunities of cultural and tourism-related activities.
