New Delhi. Telecommunications giant Bharti Airtel has announced an exciting new partnership with NVIDIA to enhance its customer service operations. With over 100 million calls received each year, Airtel's contact centers are among the busiest in the world.

To ensure the highest quality of service for its over 360 million customers, Airtel will be utilizing NVIDIA's AI-powered speech analytics solutions to improve agent interactions and identify areas for improvement.

Utilizing NVIDIA's NeMo conversational AI toolkit and NVIDIA Triton Inference Server, Airtel is now able to run automated speech recognition algorithms on 84% of calls, enabling it to accurately interpret language and identify practical changes to improve operations and provide a better experience for both agents and consumers.

By leveraging NVIDIA's AI software, Airtel can deliver these insights at just 30% of the typical computing cost, while also reducing its carbon footprint and lowering GHG emissions.

Commenting on the collaboration, Adarsh Nair, CEO of Airtel Digital, said: "We are thrilled to be working with NVIDIA to build cutting-edge solutions that allow us to serve our customers better. AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we do business, and we are confident that this shall help us push the boundaries of innovation in the industry." Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director of South Asia at NVIDIA, also highlighted the importance of AI-powered speech analytics in helping human agents improve customer service and satisfaction.

The partnership between Airtel and NVIDIA is considered a major advancement in the use of AI in the telecom industry. Airtel is proactively pursuing the implementation of AI and ML technologies in various aspects of their operations, such as network teams to enhance tower deployment efficiency and the use of AI and ML to drive personalization in their Wynk music service.

As Airtel continues to leverage the latest technologies to improve its operations, it is clear that the future of telecommunications in India is set to be transformed
